Although they have a reputation for being very expensive, there is a solution to enjoy some of them. Neither more nor less than choosing your lunch option; a more economical proposal without losing a bit of the distinctive quality of these restaurants.
Via Laietana, 49 – Contemporary
Gastronomic creations with creative plating in a sophisticated restaurant, with an open kitchen and tasting menus. Caelis is a restaurant with tasting menus (three are offered, one of them vegetarian). In addition, at lunchtime, from Wednesday to Saturday, they offer a lunch menu, Menu Caelis (55 euros, VAT included..) that changes every week.
Passatge de Marimón, 9 – Contemporary
Contemporary Catalan cuisine restaurant, opened with the idea of “cooking to enjoy”, respecting traditional flavors and using local seasonal products. It has a tasting menu with the option of wine pairing, a highly recommended plus. Furthermore, during the week you can also enjoy their executive menu with an exceptional price of around €40.
Passeig de Gràcia, 75 – Contemporary
This exclusive Basque food restaurant by Martín Berasategui is located in the lobby of the luxurious Monument hotel, on Paseo de Gracia. The menu they offer during the week is not as economical as others, but for €85, the Formula Oria menu allows you to enjoy a delicious, luxurious and gastronomic experience in one of the best restaurants in Barcelona.
La Granada del Penedès, 14-16 – Contemporary
A gastronomic offer that fuses traditional style and Catalan cuisine applying the most innovative techniques. From the large glass window that separates the kitchen, you can see the activity in the kitchen. They have several menu proposals: two tasting options and an executive menu for lunch with a more than good price, starting at €56, which includes a starter, main course, dessert, water and glass of wine. And their desserts are a real delight!
Còrsega, 289 – Contemporary
Four gastronomic menus that bring diners closer to signature cuisine with innovative touches, maintaining the unique style of the traditional cuisine of Terres de l'Ebre. They offer two half-day menu options, the executive for €45 and the Delta menu for €60 to enjoy the most traditional products of the area.
Elisabets, 9 – Asian, contemporary
A creative cuisine, based on Asian cuisine; mainly from Japan, China and Southeast Asia. Its chef, Albert Raurich, exploits his idea of “tapas as a philosophy of life” here. The restaurant has several spaces with different concepts. In the tapas bar area, on Thursdays and Fridays, they offer a lunch menu for €25 that includes an appetizer, three courses, dessert and coffee. In the Asian bar area, there is another lunch menu option for €45 (drinks not included).
Pallaresa, 104, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona
A radically Catalan cuisine, based on tradition, local, local and seasonal products. With the idea of making “everyday life become something surprising” for its diners. Its most affordable tasting menu is priced at €69, although its Bar Verat, the informal bet of the Lluerna restaurant, offers lunch menus starting at €22 where you can enjoy its delicious gastronomic proposals.
