Currently, this competition consists of several preliminary regattas to prepare and compete for the right to challenge the current cup holder, Emirates Team New Zealand. Six teams will compete to win the legendary silver cup:

All participants compete aboard the AC75, known as the Formula 1 of the sea, equipped with the highest technology and capable of reaching more than 100km/h on the water.
In this edition that will take place here, in the Catalan capital, a great novelty is presented: for the first time in the history of the cup, the Puig Women's America's Cup and the Unicredit Youth America's Cup will be held with a Spanish team among the participants, the Sail Team BCN.

ON LAND:
From the Race Village located in the Moll de la Fusta. This will be the main stage with giant screens, exhibitions and restaurant and entertainment areas. From this point there is no direct view of the water, but the tests can be followed from the screens.
From the Fan Zones , located in Plaça del Mar and Platja del Bogatell. These areas allow a direct view of the racing course. In addition, there will also be giant screens to follow the Race Village show. Screens will also be placed in Plaza del Mar and Playa del Bogatell
For those interested in seeing the departures and arrivals of the different teams, their bases are located around Port Vell.
IN WATER:
Special areas will be set up for yachts and boats around the perimeter of the regatta course. You can go with your own boat or rent one.
ON THE SCREEN:

According to the official calendar, the opening date of the competition is August 22 and the Final Match-Race will be between October 21 and 27, depending on weather conditions. During these next few months, the tests will take place that will determine the candidate to face the winner of the last edition. The youth competition will be held between September 10 and 26, then the women's competition will begin, which could last until October 13, just when preparations for the final phase of the competition will begin.

On July 21, the reopening of the Olympic Port took place , a great party where citizens could discover the changes that have been carried out since 2020. Now the Olympic Port has ceased to be a nightlife space, to become a wide and pleasant walking area where you can do sports and enjoy the surroundings. In addition, a new restaurant space has been enabled, the Gastronomic Balcony , with fourteen gastronomic proposals in a unique environment, full of light, naturalness and connection with the sea, since it is open with large windows that allow you to enjoy a spectacular view of the sea. and to Nova Icaria Beach.
Port Vell has also undergone a remodeling and transformation of its infrastructure, especially the remodeling of the Moll Oriental Sheds , port warehouses with great heritage value that have been converted into a cultural center and that will serve as a base for various activities of the America's Cup. Also notable is the opening of Nova Bocana , an area that is open to the public with a complete remodeling creating the new Rambla del “Rompeolas”.
Finally, a new method of transportation has been implemented in the city, the nautical bus , operated by the private transportation company Alsa. This 100% electric boat connects the Moll de las Drassanes (Pl. Colón area, end of the Rambla) with the Moll de Llevant (Barceloneta beach) in a journey of just 10 minutes, thus reinforcing the connection of Port Vell and substantially reducing traffic on Passeig Joan de Borbó.
